Ocasio-Cortez: 'Netanyahu is a Trump-like figure'

Ocasio-Cortez: 'Netanyahu is a Trump-like figure'

Known by her initials, AOC, the left-wing American politician has gained a considerable fanbase since being elected as a Democrat to represent NY in the 2018 mid-term elections. She still has accounts on the site, she said, and according to the company's ad library, her Facebook account has dozens of active advertisements sponsored by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., left, joined by Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., listens during a House Oversight and Reform Committee meeting, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019.

It is not known whether Ms Ocasio-Cortez, who has been dubbed the Beyonce of politics, has accepted the organisers' invitation, reported by The Sunday Times.

"But I'm primarily a Yankees fan", Ocasio-Cortez said.

"Social media poses a public health risk to everybody", she said. There are amplified impacts for young people ... but I think it has a lot of effects on older people. "I haven't endorsed anybody, but I'm very supportive of Bernie", Ocasio-Cortez said, adding, "I also think what Elizabeth Warren has been bringing to the table is ... truly remarkable, truly remarkable and transformational".

"But I think that we need to expand what those policy conversations are because I would-as just a citizen of this country-I would be very concerned if Trump started really pursuing more and more and more increasingly unsafe policies, and everyone just standing aside saying this is normal", she said.

Ocasio-Cortez then shared her truth.

Ocasio-Cortez said while she had started to "impose little rules" about her social media use - like curtailing her consumption of content on weekends - she still writes her own Twitter and Instagram posts, both platforms where her followers exceed 3 million people.

Crenshaw tweeted first about Omar's remarks on Tuesday, sharing a tweet that falsely claimed she had said that she "does not consider" 9/11 "a terrorist attack".

Barr appeared on the Fox Business Network on April 4, telling the host he'd show Ocasio-Cortez "the real world implications" of the Green New Deal he called "the centerpiece of the Democratic Party's march towards socialism and their wholesale rejection of individual freedom and free enterprise in America".
