Dubai projects New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern image on Burj Khalifa

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been visiting Islamic community centres and mosques since March 15 when an 50 Muslim worshippers were martyred in an attack on two Christchurch mosques.

"He sought many things from his act of terror, but one was notoriety - that is why you will never hear me mention his name", Ms Ardern said in an emotional address at New Zealand's parliament.

The world's tallest building has been lit up with a giant image of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern embracing a woman at the Kilbirnie mosque in Wellington.

"We wish you and your country strength in this time of sorrow and pray that the future of New Zealand is one of enduring peace and security", said the letter, which runs in tomorrow's Herald newspaper.

Foreign leaders and dignitaries would likely be in attendance, as well as global Muslim leaders.

Muslims account for just over 1 percent of New Zealand's 4.8-million population, a 2013 census showed, most of whom were born overseas.

"The national remembrance service provides an opportunity for Cantabrians (Christchurch-area residents), New Zealanders and people all around the world to come together as one to honour the victims of the terrorist attack", Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said in a statement.

Peters told the assembly that the gunman accused of the killings would spend the rest of his life in isolation in prison and promised that the families of the victims would "have justice". The New Zealand Police had later arrested the terrorist, an Australian national.

Trump expressed sympathy for the victims, but played down the rise of white nationalism around the world, saying he didn't consider it a major threat despite data showing it is growing. President Trump himself is a white supremacist and he can not rise above.

Following the attacks, Ms Ardern announced that there would be a ban on all types of semi-automatic weapons, adding that the new legislation would be in place by 11 April. "But he will, when I speak, be nameless".

At the same time we are anxious to see the wonderful people of New Zealand and their Prime Minister well protected. She said her community was extremely sad but were rebuilding.
