CNN source: Robert Kraft will reject plea deal offer

CNN source: Robert Kraft will reject plea deal offer

As we reported, cops placed cameras inside the spa and say they have video of Kraft making 2 visits to the spa.

Kraft's attorneys - and attorneys for the other suspects - filed jointly Wednesday morning to get a protective order ... which would prevent law enforcement from releasing any evidence gathered in the investigation.

According to WBZ-TV, Kraft has also filed a motion to suppress video evidence.

A source close to Kraft said, "That's not going to happen", and said the 77-year-old would rather fight the charges in court than admit to a crime. Under the deal, the charges would be dropped in exchange for an admission of guilt, as well as fines and community service. He added it is a "warning shot" to prosecutors that Kraft's team will challenge that police had probable cause even to collect the video as evidence. This offer was for first-time offenders.

According to a Wall Street Journal report on Tuesday, Kraft and the 24 other men caught in the Jupiter sex sting operation have been offered a pre-trial diversion program so long as they admit they would have been found guilty if tried.

Authorities have alleged women were brought to Florida from China under the guise of having legitimate jobs at the spas, only to be forced to perform sex acts on male customers.

Kraft was one of 25 people charged in Jupiter, Fla., on February 22 in a statewide investigation into the use of massage parlors for prostitution and human trafficking.

Kraft is scheduled to be arraigned March 28 in Palm Beach County, Fla.

On Wednesday, Quinn tweeted that the National Football League has investigators in Jupiter and West Palm Beach, trying to find out if there is more to the Kraft story than is already known, like whether he'd visited Orchids of Asia on other occasions or other parlors.

The charges are second-degree misdemeanors and generally carry no more than a 60-day sentence in county jail, according to Edmondson.
