Anthony Davis rumors ‘sapped morale’ of Los Angeles’ players

Anthony Davis rumors ‘sapped morale’ of Los Angeles’ players

As confirmed by the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend, Brandon Ingram will miss the remainder of the 2019-19 National Basketball Association season after tests revealed Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) or blood clots in his arm.

In 47 games this season, the former second overall pick averaged 9.9 points, 5.4 assists, and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 32.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Further tests revealed deep venous thrombosis, a condition caused by a blood clot, frequently accompanied by swelling and pain in a limb.

The Los Angeles Lakers' blatant pursuit of Anthony Davis had reverberations beyond their control, as the constant rumors surrounding the players that would be packaged in exchange for his services sapped the morale of those involved, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe. 8, Lakers head coach Luke Walton hinted to the media that Ball could be lost for the season due to an ankle injury he sustained in a loss to the Houston Rockets on January 19.

James, who will turn 35 next season, signed a four-year deal with the Lakers over the summer.

It is unlikely to be enough to extend the Lakers' season, but James believes they will be playoff contenders in the future.

The NBA writer also highlighted the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers owner and president Jeanie Buss isn't keen on taking responsibility for the franchise's performance.

He added: "Obviously, I would love for the team to be in the postseason". Since the two games he played previous year on the big club, Ingram has continued on in the G League and is now the league's all-time leader in games played. I think they need to start asking questions like "What are we doing wrong here?'"

"I don't want to give up on this team", Hart said when asked if being shut down might be a consideration. "And so many teams in the West are playing well". As a team, the Lakers shot 48 percent from the field and just five of 27 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by 10 points at halftime before getting blown out in the third quarter, but it was always going to be tough as they were without Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma. "They'll get an opportunity to learn, and I get an opportunity to play with them, so we can take that out of it for sure". The trio has not been on the court together since Christmas Day.

The first prognosis was that Ball would be expected to return within six weeks.
