Liverpool boss Klopp blames snow for failure to beat Leicester

Liverpool boss Klopp blames snow for failure to beat Leicester

Liverpool - Jurgen Klopp refused to be down-hearted despite his annoyance at being denied a strong second-half penalty claim in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Leicester at Anfield on Wednesday.

Liverpool have moved five points clear at the top of the league, but this feels like an opportunity missed.

Walker tweeted mocking Liverpool's result, and Klopp says he would not have reacted in the same way. I am not sure what that says about us, it says something more about the other person. "I never celebrated that another team dropped points or lost a game", said the German. I understand all these thoughts, but what shall we do now?

While the midfielder provided an assist against Palace, he did not particularly stand out in both encounters as the Premier League highflyers laboured to a win and draw against the Eagles and Claude Puel's men respectively. The first half we had 80% of the ball so only one team suffered and it was us. The summer window was odd for City, as they spent just £61 million in total on just the one player, Riyad Mahrez, as clubs like Fulham and West Ham spent more than that.

"There was not enough man power to clear all the pitch".

"We put them under pressure but they did really well". They realised how hard it was when they started doing it, not before. If their box is clear then it's better to defend.

I think everyone was thinking about the seven because it was possible and it didn't happen. "That's how it is, we can not change it".

Klopp condemned Walker's social media antics in his press conference today and says celebrating a rival dropping points is "not allowed".

The Liverpool manager confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez will not be back from injury in time for Monday's trip to West Ham, with the latter unlikely to return before the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on 19 February. "After that, any time, you will see".

We saw it against Chelsea in 2014, when Brendan Rodgers' Reds stopped playing their normal game at 1-0 down and panicked amidst an anxious atmosphere, and there's a danger of it happening again.

Asked what was missing from the performance, Van Dijk added: "I don't know, a bit of luck I think, a bit of extra edge maybe that we sometimes have a little bit more than last night".
