Read the Roger Stone indictment, which includes a 'Godfather: Part II' reference

Read the Roger Stone indictment, which includes a 'Godfather: Part II' reference

"You got nothing. Keep running your mouth and I'll file a bar complaint against your friend [the attorney who had the ability to contact the head of Organization 1]".

And Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow said, "The indictment today does not allege Russian collusion by Roger Stone or anyone else".

Stone is said to have lied in an effort to hide his collaboration with Wikileaks editor Julian Assange concerning a campaign to discredit Hillary Clinton in spring 2016.

Lying to Congress. Obstructing the House intelligence committee's Russian Federation investigation.

Armed FBI agents showed up at the door of Stone's Fort Lauderdale home just before 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning and led him away in handcuffs. This, despite Mr Stone regularly appearing on television to defend his former employer. According to the indictment, Credico initially pushed back against Stone's attempts, telling Stone that his testimony was false and that he should correct it.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders listens to a question as she speaks with reporters outside the White House, Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, in Washington.

Mueller's indictment of Stone suggests he was not an isolated actor, but was working at the direction of a much broader scheme within the Trump campaign. Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort has also said he kept in communication with Stone during the campaign.

"That is correct", Stone said. They also at one point took in a wheaten terrier they found injured on a roadside, he said; its leg was later amputated.

Trump calls the Russian Federation investigation a "witch hunt". He has also pushed several conspiracy theories and was an early and vocal supporter of Trump's candidacy. But, beyond collusion, THERE ARE A LOT OF CRIMES that Trump, his campaign, and his enablers seem to have committed.

"By in or around early August 2016, STONE was claiming both publicly and privately to have communicated with Organization 1", the indictment states.

According to the indictment, on October 7, after WikiLeaks released emails stolen from Clinton-campaign chairman John Podesta, a high-ranking Trump campaign official emailed Stone to say "Well done".

Stone has given varying accounts about whether he had advance knowledge that WikiLeaks would post a cache of private emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee, some of which embarrassed Democratic leaders and led to the resignation of the party chairwoman in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Stone has released emails that he says support that assertion. The high-ranking official was Stephen Bannon, who later served as Trump's top strategist, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The charging documents included new details about the activities of Trump aides, including an incident in which a senior campaign official "was directed to contact Stone about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign". The indictment quotes from those emails, which had previously been made public by news outlets.

The FBI also executed a search warrant at Stone's NY residence, according to Kristin Davis who shares the duplex with Stone.

Stone was charged in a seven-count indictment that includes witness tampering, obstruction and false-statements charges but has long maintained his innocence.

Person 1 is reportedly Jerome Corsi, and person 2 is reportedly Randy Credico.

The scuffle was dubbed the "Brooks Brothers riot", and Time magazine reported that Stone, who was then a GOP operative, was an organizer. Let's get it on. Representatives for the heads of the two congressional committees that interviewed Stone could not be immediately reached.

"I will not testify against the president because I would have to bear false witness against him", Stone added.

In a tweet Friday, Podesta wrote it was now "Roger's time in the barrel". But if an already "senior" official "was directed" to contact Stone, few would presumably have the authority to do such directing.
