'Sons of Anarchy' Alum Danny Trejo Bashes Donald Trump's Border Wall Plan

'Sons of Anarchy' Alum Danny Trejo Bashes Donald Trump's Border Wall Plan

"And the president must exercise the decorum expected from the White House - even from his Twitter account".

Sons of Anarchy star, Danny Trejo, finds President Trump's border wall plan to be a waste of money.

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said on "Fox & Friends" that Trump is also nixing his plans for New Year's because of the shutdown.

Despite placing blame for the government shutdown exclusively on Trump and Republicans, Pelosi - who will likely succeed Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) as Speaker of the House - was spotted at the Fairmont Orchid resort this week, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Trump's reaction came four days after an 8-year-old Guatemalan boy with the flu died in government custody after surrendering to immigration authorities at the border with his father.

He's still at the White House, awaiting work by Congress on those spending bills that government employees are depending on.

Mulvaney called on Democrats to come back to the negotiating table to see if a deal can be reached at a number between their $1.3 billion offer and Trump's $5 billion demand.

Pelosi has all but locked up the support she needs to win the gavel on January 3 and there is also no sign of daylight between her and Schumer in the negotiations over government funding.

A spokesman for U.S. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on Thursday that Republicans and Democrats were still very far apart in efforts to resolve the partial government shutdown, which started on Saturday. The president told them he would be "proud to shut down the government for border security", adding he would "take the mantle" before roaring this: "I'm not going to blame you for it".

He suggested that Pelosi was shying away from any deal because "she cannot be seen by her party as being weak on negotiating with Donald Trump".

Meanwhile, Trump warned Friday that if Democrats do not agree to his demands to fund a wall on the southern border, he will "close the southern border entirely" and cut aid to Central American countries - while pulling back on trade with Mexico.

Some Trump allies said he has clearly articulated his case on border security and that it was Democrats who will have to defend their position once they take over the House.

'Republicans control the House, the Senate and the White House.

In Mexico, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador sidestepped Trump's threat, telling journalists: "We don't want to be imprudent and we don't think we should get into this".

Some White House allies said the president was passing up a chance to set the terms of the debate at a time when his Democratic rivals have ceded the megaphone to him.

His tweets are the president's first public comment about the deaths of two children, an eight-year-old boy named Felipe Gomez Alonzo and a seven-year-old girl named Jakelin Caal, who were taken into custody with their parents after attempting a unsafe crossing into the United States at the Mexico border.

Pelosi is poised to become speaker of the House again after Democrats officially retake the majority of the House next week.

Trump also falsely claimed that the deceased 7-year-old's father "said it was not their fault", referring to immigration authorities.
