Raheem Sterling accuses the Daily Mail of fuelling "racism and aggressive behaviour"

Raheem Sterling accuses the Daily Mail of fuelling

Chelsea have announced they have suspended four supporters from attending games "pending further investigations" into alleged racial abuse suffered by Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

Both Chelsea and the Metropolitan Police have launched investigations to determine whether or not Sterling was racially abused in the incident.

Sterling posted two photos, contrasting different newspaper headlines for similar stories involving black and white teammates at City - Adarabioyo and Phil Foden - who bought new houses this year.

"I think this is unacceptable, both innocent, have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded".

The perception is of a young, flash, black kid from London.

"I think he will be back training in maybe one week", Guardiola said.

Former England coach Neville revealed his meeting with Sterling, which took place before England's defeat to Iceland in the last-16 of Euro 2016 on Monday Night Football.

The 24-year-old England star has also been criticized for buying clothes at a high-street store and for buying his mother a house. It's fearless and right that @sterling7 speaks out, "Lineker tweeted. That's what I want to see from my team". "The way we played today was incredible".

Footage from the game widely circulated on social media on showed a group of Chelsea fans hurling insults at Sterling, including a fan who allegedly branded the England worldwide a "f***ing black c***".

Chelsea, which won the match 2-0, said it would "investigate the matter and take the strongest possible action where necessary".

"You've got to work with supporters groups, you've got to work with the PFA, you've got to work with charities Show Racism The Red Card and Kick It Out and try to educate people". Yes, punish them - but do not talk too much about them because they do not deserve that we talk about them'.

"The print media often targets all footballers, not just black players, but all footballers". I'm right there, three feet away from him.

The Football Association released a statement on Sunday condemning any act of discrimination in the game.

In the video below you can quite clearly make out what the Chelsea fan shouted at Sterling.

On Instagram, Sterling only briefly touched on Saturday's incident at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium when a man appeared to aggressively hurl abuse at him as the ball was being retrieved on the byline.

"Post-tournament we got knocked out and it was bad from a football point of view but the abuse he received, particularly in the media, beyond that tournament, and the language that was used, was something I've not seen before", he said.
