Donald Trump lashed out at two female reporters for doing their job

Donald Trump lashed out at two female reporters for doing their job

The president this time raised some eyebrows while taking questions after the morning presser at the White House on Monday on the newly agreed U.S. -Canada-Mexico trade deal, which was hailed as "truly historic" and "an wonderful deal for a lot of people".

President Trump provoked shock all over social media when he told ABC reporter Cecilia Vega that she "never thinks". "Like in a state of shock", he said.

Vega responded, "I'm not, thank you Mr. President".

Vega however went on to ask a question on the on the scope of the FBI investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, which Trump dismissed as irrelevant to the new trade deal that prompted the presser.

"She's shocked that I picked her", laughed Trump after picking Vega to ask a question.

After answering numerous question on Trade, a CNN journalist named Kaitlan Collins attempted to ask another question about the Kavanaugh investigation.

In yet another blatant display of sexism and misogyny, President Donald Trump tried to avoid tough questions from women reporters in the Rose Garden by applying his signature strategy: insult.

Vega referred obliquely to the exchange on her Twitter account later.

One the reporters on the receiving end of Trump's ridicule was Cecilia Vega of ABC.

Since the beginning of 2017, the Trump administration has set an unprecedented record of treating journalism with blatant disregard and disdain.

No, go ahead. Go ahead.

Mr Trump also said it was "very unfair" to discuss Mr Kavanaugh's teenage habits, saying there have been "no bad reports" about him for a quarter century.

Afterwards, Vega tweeted that Trump's rebuke of her question was essentially a violation of the First Amendment. It no longer had a reference to "thanking", and instead affirmed that Trump said the reporter was "never thinking". "You know what? You've had enough".

President Barack Obama's press team issued a revision following March 2016 a meeting with financial regulators. "It's unfair to him at this point".

The official White House transcript was edited to say "30-foot putts". What a mess I would be.
