Cardi B reportedly surrenders herself to police

Rapper Cardi B (born, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) is turning herself in to authorities due to a violent encounter with two strip club bartenders at end of August.

The "Bodak Yellow" hit maker was charged with two misdemeanors, assault and reckless endangerment.

The charges stem from an incident at the Angels Strip Club in Flushing, New York on August 29.

Because the charges are misdemeanours, she was eligible to be released on a desk appearance ticket, Lava said.

Cardi B is expected to turn herself in at a police precinct, according to WNBC-TV. She did not address reporters who were waiting outside.

She was charged with two misdemeanors and will appear in court on October 29. They claim one of the bottles was thrown by Cardi after they came face to face with the rapper.

Later, on Instagram Cardi B allegedly sent an aimed post at Minaj claiming she had made disparaging remarks about her ability to be a good mother - following the birth of her and rapper Offset's daughter.

Cardi B was seen entering a police precinct shortly after 9:30 a.m. (1330 GMT) on Monday, according to local media.

The Bronx rapper's career has been skyrocketing over the past year. And she's a featured performer on the top Billboard song at the moment, Maroon 5's "Girls Like You".

The surrender comes just two days after Cardi delivered a glamorous performance at the 2018 Global Citizen Festival in NYC. Police have not yet said she was directly involved in the fight but she is being questioned.
