Tucker Carlson Blames Sexual Assault Victims For Not Going To The Police

Tucker Carlson Blames Sexual Assault Victims For Not Going To The Police

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, also weighed in to support Ford.

Feinstein later clarified to reporters that she finds Ford credible, based on what she knowns so far.

"The hearing was scheduled for six short days from today and would include interrogation by Senators who appear to have made up their minds that she is "mistaken" and 'mixed up, '" the lawyers wrote on Ford's behalf.

Ford is now a psychology professor at California's Palo Alto University. She has been widely published in her field and, according to a 2016 book she co-authored, her consultation area of expertise is the interaction between pharmaceutical companies and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Like Hill, she was probably torn and scared about stepping forward.

That's when she came forward for the first time publicly in an interview with The Washington Post. Russell Ford is a mechanical engineer and has worked for pharmaceutical and medical research companies.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been accused of victim blaming after he said that it was a sexual assault victim's "obligation as a citizen" to go to the police.

Christine Blasey Ford grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., and attended Holton-Arms School, a private preparatory school in Bethesda for girls in third through 12th grade. Um, what? How someone processes an event as traumatic as what Ford alleges happened in high school is an incredibly complex emotional and intellectual process. "We've invited everybody", he said.

Ms Ford's allegations has put Mr Kavanaugh's once-safe nomination in serious jeopardy. "Nearly all of us attended all-girls high schools in the area", the letter reads. The same senator is saying now the same thing about Christine Blasey Ford.

"Nothing of substance and nothing legitimate can happen by Monday", Lisa Banks, her attorney told CNN, referring to the next hearing of the judiciary committee hearing.

Ford should be ready to respond as best she can to every question, however awkward or hard. He groped her and tried to pull off her clothes and a one-piece bathing suit - all while holding his hand over her mouth so she couldn't scream. No matter how shaky her testimony is, everyone inclined to believe her for partisan reasons will believe her. "I can't say everything's truthful", Feinstein said when asked about Ford. "He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing".

"In fact, I have no memory of this alleged incident", Judge said in his statement to the committee.

In a statement on Monday, Kavanaugh called the allegation by Ford, who is a college professor, "completely false".

That the committee "still lacks a protocol for vetting sexual harassment and assault claims that surface during a confirmation hearing suggests that the committee has learned little from the Thomas hearing", she concluded, "much less the more recent #MeToo movement". Trump said he felt "terribly" for Kavanaugh Tuesday, predicting that the judge would be exonerated. Sen. I commend her courage.

Kavanaugh has denied her accusations. "The FBI's role in such matters is to provide information for the use of the decision makers". "And there was going to be great personal risk to her and her family in doing so".

"It kind of raises the question, do they want to come to the public hearing or not?"

Ford is a registered Democrat who has made small political contributions to Democratic organizations.

But their primary demand is one that Ford asked for her in her letter Tuesday night - that the Federal Bureau of Investigation conduct a full evaluation before any hearing is held. She said President George H.W. Bush had asked the FBI to investigate Anita Hill's allegations against Thomas.

With Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation still in the balance, Republicans on the hill and in Trump's White House are scurrying to try to discredit Ford's story the best they can. There shouldn't be a doubt, ' Trump said Tuesday.

University of Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill testifies before the Senate judiciary committee on the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., in this October 11, 1991, photo. The confirmation went ahead.

The Journal notes that Debra Katz, Ford's lawyer, "has a history of Democratic activism and spoke in public defense of Bill Clinton against the accusations by Paula Jones".

You - I actually think the differences are stronger, but another similarity would be that both women that have taken polygraph tests.
