Woman in mysterious 'doorbell video' identified as domestic violence victim

Woman in mysterious 'doorbell video' identified as domestic violence victim

While the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) told ABC News they had received multiple reports that the woman in question resembles individuals seen on missing persons flyers, "as of now none are believed to be the woman in the video". Authorities said at a press conference he sustained a single gunshot wound.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has released the footage online hoping that someone might identify the woman.

The latest details on the woman come after she was seen in a viral video released Sunday ringing a doorbell while wearing what appears to be hand restraints and no trousers. "The decedent's girlfriend, a 32-year-old white female, who was not on scene when deputies arrived, is confirmed to be the female in the doorbell video that has been circulating around on the internet".

The clip cuts out as she reaches for a door handle and it later emerged that she went on to ring other doorbells on the street.

She is not being identified due to her status as a family violence victim, but officials confirmed she is safe and with family now.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said it is looking into the "suspicious incident".

"She is safe and is being consoled by her family at this time", Lt. Scott Spencer of MCSD told reporters.

A Reno woman is missing in Texas since January and her family is concerned. A man was found deceased inside the home. She also had what appeared to be broken restraints attached to each wrist.

She said that she's been in contact with the police and just wants her sister home. My husband was woken up by (the) doorbell ring (ing).

Police now say that the woman was not considered missing.

The house was in Sunrise Ranch, the same neighborhood as the one whose doorbell the woman had tried to ring. He walked outside no one was in sight.

We wrote about the chilling video here, with residents of the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery wondering exactly what was going on.
