Almost one year after Heather Heyer was killed by a vehicle plowing into a crowd during the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, her mother continues fighting for the same causes Heyer was fighting for that fateful day. And two Virginia state troopers died when their surveillance helicopter crashed near the protests.

One year after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, left a counterprotester dead, the event's organizer is producing an encore.

Heavy police presence is seen in the center of the USA capital as crowds of anti-nationalists protesters have gathered to protest Unite the Right Rally one year after Charlottesville clashes.

The National Park Service approved Jason Kessler's permit request for Sunday in Washington, D.C.

It was a dramatic shift in tone from previous year, when he said there was "blame on both sides" for the violence that broke out when white nationalists descended on Charlottesville to protest the removal of Confederate statutes and marched through town shouting racist slurs.

"Nothing would excite us any better than for this to be noneventful and folks to go home and it be a peaceful weekend for all", Settle said.
