'Bachelorette:' Garrett Yrigoyen, Becca Kurfin talk about future after finale

'Bachelorette:' Garrett Yrigoyen, Becca Kurfin talk about future after finale

By riding up on Day 1 in a minivan, promising Kufrin a bountiful future of children and after-school sports.

Earlier in the season, TMZ leaked out a photo of Becca and Garrett at the final rose ceremony. Becca says she "could die here" with Garrett and we're supposed to pretend she's not gonna pick him. Why else defend him so vigorously?

"I love Becca. I really do". But please never ever mention anything to do with actual political opinions.

During the After the Final Rose show, Horstmann asked Kufrin for more clarification on her decision. Yrigoyen then stepped in with a practiced reply.

"I made some really solid friendships previous year with the girls and he did the same with the guys, " Kufrin said. "I do support our troops and I love my country, so when I saw those posts in the beginning, I would just scroll through - I see a guy in uniform or something like that - and I would just scroll through and just, I don't know, double tap", Yrigoyen explained.

"I am sorry to those who I offended, and I also take full responsibility for my "likes" on Instagram that were hurtful and offensive", he wrote. "I didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings or do anything like that, so I stand by everything that I posted in my apology", he said on the aftershow.

The pair have no plans to get married anytime soon, or for children, but do plan to move in together, likely in California, Kufrin said, as is the Bachelor/Bachelorette way. "We're growing, we're progressing".

After stressing several times that he did "nothing wrong", Kufrin said something very interesting. You've got to read what you're supporting and liking and not just take a picture for what it's worth because people are tagging things and putting things below it that are associating it with an image, whereas other people are reading into it.' Just because you're not reading into it, doesn't mean others aren't.

Their relationship is not without controversy, Garrett was in the middle of a social media firestorm for "liking" racist and homophobic posts while shooting the show. Maybe Kufrin and Yrigoyen "got through" the scandal by having a real conversation about trans rights.

"You really have to ask for more information on their background and upbringing, to get an idea of where they developed their opinions, and see if they're willing to have them challenged", she said.

Let us know your opinions in the comments (below)!

"He's one of the most open, supportive men to everyone he encounters and so to not have the world see that, and to say such awful, negative things about his character was really hard".
