Apple is preparing to launch a new supersized 6.5-inch iPhone

Apple is preparing to launch a new supersized 6.5-inch iPhone

The impressive upgrades in overall designs and functions as well as the price-friendliness of the 6.1-inch model should give the new devices a shipment momentum much stronger than their two preceding generations, the sources said. This would then make the watch more competitive with it's Google counterpart. As per reports by Bloomberg, Apple would be making its own MicroLED displays in its new products. Visit MarketWatch.com for more information on this news. Next year's launch will come with more significant changes.

Matching numerous rumors to date, Bloomberg reports that Apple is planning to launch three new iPhones that will boast a wider range of features, sizes, and prices.

The new, less expensive, iPhone will have a slightly larger screen than the current iPhone X, but it will have an LCD screen instead of the iPhone X's OLED screen. Those were the good and better versions, and Apple barely mentions them now. Apple said at the time that some people wanted a relatively smaller smartphone when most phones were getting supersized. If Apple is able to combine its booming Services division and the various other growth sectors of its business with a massive boom in iPhone sales... well, maybe it won't be too long before analysts start talking about the right-now-impossible $2 trillion valuation. Bloomberg reported several details of the new phones earlier this year. It is the Voldemort of iPhones. We'll post more updates as they arrive.

We're also hoping to see an entry-level iPhone with a cheaper LED screen. Many analysts said before the iPhone X launched a year ago that the new design would spearhead a super cycle of upgrades, but those expectations were never met. Instead, Mac and iPhone have held minority shares of their markets, but their premium prices have given Apple the majority of profits in both computers and smartphones. The company had revenue of $53.27 billion during the quarter, compared to analyst estimates of $52.43 billion. Apple isn't immune to this trend. For comparison, rival Samsung Electronics Co.

Here are the latest rumors about what Apple could reveal next month.

The Bloomberg report echoes prior claims from notable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, for KGI Securities, who declared the screens on the new hardware will be 15 percent larger than existing Apple Watches. Apple is expected to continue selling the older iPhone 7 and 8 phones, which still do have the home button.

The iPhone SE now retails for $350. New Street Research cut Apple from a "neutral" rating to a "sell" rating in a research report on Monday, August 20th.
