E3 2018: Watch The New Battlefield 5 Trailer

E3 2018: Watch The New Battlefield 5 Trailer

Battlefield 5 Battle Royale will be going up against Call of Duty Black Ops 4's Blackout mode as well as Fortnite and PUBG this year. There will also be a new battle royale mode, but it wasn't given a video preview.

Electronic Arts and developer DICE confirmed that Battlefield V is getting a battle royale mode at some point in the future.

It was reiterated that Battlefield V will not include a premium pass program that the previous installments offered, and its release date is set for October 19, 2018. Instead of asking players to pay extra to get new maps, every update is now free, and developer DICE is focusing on cosmetic items as a way to generate revenue from the game as an ongoing platform.

Right now, we're not so sure what to expect, so as we learn more about the mode we'll make sure we update you on this page as well to keep you abreast of what options you may have. You can battle solo or in teams, and take to land, sea, and air vehicles to conquer your enemies.

The battle royale format mode will be called "Royale", although no further details were revealed during conference.

Battlefield V bring the series back to World War Two and, dear God, has playable women.
