Service dog delivers puppies inside Tampa Airport (Cute photos!)

Airline passengers were treated to a special delivery at Tampa International Airport on Friday.

Paramedics from the Tampa Fire Rescue assisted the 2-year-old golden retriever named Eleanor Rigby to give birth to seven males and a female puppy, in an occasion enjoyed by all the travelers who were present near Gate F-81.

Emily Nipps, A spokeswoman for the airport, said: "I've never seen anything like this in an airport, or otherwise".

The family, the puppies and the parents missed the flight.

Eleanor Rigby was about to board a flight when her owner realised she was going into labour.

The father, Nugget, was also there for the big event.

Van Atter said she knew her dog was pregnant, but they did not know how close to giving birth she was.

"All of sudden, she started shaking and her tail went up".

Ellie was all set to board her flight to Philadelphia when she got waylaid with a more pressing matter.

So far, Ellie has delivered five boys.

Tampa Fire Rescue team members stationed at the airport immediately responded.

The puppies aren't allowed to fly for another eight weeks so Van Atter said she will drive home with them.
