Mario Kart Meets Google Maps This Week

Mario Kart Meets Google Maps This Week

Once it does, you can tap it to turn your navigation arrow into Mario for the remainder of the event.

But then on Thursday, YouTube host and streamer Trisha Hershberger was among the first to receive a notification in Google Maps that she could "navigate [her] world as Mario to celebrate Mario Day on March 10th".

To activate Mario Time, enter a destination and request directions in Google Maps.

In the meantime, Google Maps and Mario will be here all week in celebration of Mario Kart, with the plumber fist-pumping his way through traffic. The update made available from today itself so you would be able to bring the Mario to your Google Maps by updating this application on a respective Smartphone.

For this week only, anyone using the Google Maps app can get Mario to pop up on the screen, driving along the map in a go-kart.

Google has also included a hidden Easter egg in Mario Time: tapping the yellow question mark icon 100 times will trigger the familiar 1-UP sound of Nintendo's Games.

March 10 is when we all gather together for a special holiday- MAR10 Day! You can also pick up some stylish new duds inspired by Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Princess Peach.

Even previous year, for April Fools' Day, Google Maps transformed into Ms. Pac-Man to prank a lot of people.
