Apple is hosting an education event on March 27

Apple has hosted hardware events during springtime before, and there are a number of rumored devices that could come out of this event. We've certainly seen a lot of rumors about a new iPhone SE and an iPad with Face ID, so there's a good chance we could be seeing one of those arrive at the event.

Apple has invited the media to a spring event on March 27 in Chicago.

The only hint Apple is giving us from the invite is that it will be something to do with education.

In typical Apple fashion, the company didn't reveal anything about the news it intends to announce at the event, instead simply stating that it was about "creative new ideas for teachers and students". The invitations was light on details, simply saying "Let's take a field trip".

The tech giant has worked with schools and colleges in the past.

There have recently been rumors that Apple could release a cheaper Macbook, as well as possibly a new entry-level iPad to complement its more expensive iPad Pro line. New iPads have been rumored for later this year as well, but it's unlikely that an education-focused iPad would include the new and expensive FaceID camera.
