Air Canada system problems have been fixed, but flight delays still possible

Air Canada is also increasing the frequency of its flights from Calgary to Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Phoenix, and from Vancouver to Phoenix and Palm Springs. The carrier did not provide any details on the number of flights or passengers affected, nor did it explain what caused the outage.

Earlier, Air Canada said in a statement its technology teams were working to identify and fix the issue, and it was also implementing temporary measures to maintain a limited operation. According to flight-tracking website FlightAware.com, Air Canada was experiencing almost 170 total flight delays as of Monday afternoon.

The company posted to it's Twitter feed that they're working to restore service as quickly as possible. "Thank you for your patience".

Those at the Regina Airport who are either leaving or flying out on an Air Canada flight may want to check on the status of their flight.

Passengers are reporting long lines at the airport and it appears some flights are grounded until further notice.

Victoria Airport reported that the customer kiosks are operating again, as of around 11:15 a.m.
