Jennifer Lawrence reveals she dropped out of middle school

In a new "60 Minutes" interview with Bill Whitaker, Jennifer Lawrence shared an unexpected tidbit about her childhood!

I can't believe people are truly making it a thing that JLaw didn't wear a coat over her dress... lemme tell u, we risk pneumonia for the LEWK.

No GED, no high school diploma.

"She said, "Yeah, I mean, not looking at a script, it sounds like a fun idea to do" so we thought of her, had her in mind as we worked on the screenplay".

"I struggled through school, I never felt very smart".

"I know exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way".

Lawrence, who stars in the upcoming thriller "Red Sparrow", says she was out of place in a classroom setting, but found her comfort zone in acting. "And if I want to be cold THATS MY CHOICE TOO!"

In fact, Lawrence adds that she even prioritized her work over friends for a good chunk of her career.

Jennifer Lawrence knew at a young age what she wanted to do for a living.

"It was just an overwhelming feeling of 'I get this". (It was) something that I could be confident in and I didn't want to let it go...

Lawrence did note that her parents weren't thrilled with her decision to give up on school.

Social media users and some fashion portals also pointed out that while her co-stars Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Matthias Schoenaerts and director of the film Francis Lawrence were all dressed in winter clothes, she was "forced" to play dress up as she was the female lead.

According to a report from People magazine, the Louisville native made the comments during a soon-to-be-aired 60 Minutes interview.

She continued: 'That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf? She picked up an Academy Award in 2012 for Silver Linings Playbook.
