Apple May Upgrade Some iPhone 6 Plus Owners To iPhone 6s Plus

Apple May Upgrade Some iPhone 6 Plus Owners To iPhone 6s Plus

"We're proud that Apple products are known for their durability, and for holding their value longer than our competitors' devices".

As per analysts, Apple might discontinue the iPhone X this year.

Another day, another interesting analysis of iPhone sales numbers and trends at the end of a pretty challenging year for the world's most profitable mobile device manufacturer.

Should these two updated devices push through this year, the original iPhone X will only reach around 62 million of total units shipped, which is way lower than the initial projection of 80 million units.

That's according to a report in the Daily Mail, which says that experts believe the notch is causing the lack of interest - many potential Chinese customers think it removes too much screen space.

Apparently the just-as-new and more affordable option, the iPhone 8 Plus is satisfying users in ways the iPhone X can not.

The iPhone X's new design notwithstanding, a new report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) relays that Apple's flagship iPhone was not the most popular iPhone model during the recent holiday quarter. While we may be able to glean some data from Apple's upcoming earnings report on February 1, the iPhone X's limited availability during the December quarter will likely make any subsequent analysis incomplete. Boasting an edge-to-edge screen, the iPhone X comes with a FaceID sensor, a 5.8-inch Super Retina display, A11 Bionic chip, dual rear cameras, 7-megapixel front camera and more.

If you want to guarantee yourself a phone with Face ID, your time might be up midsummer, or you can wait until the release of the newest line in the fall.

If you're looking for evidence that the iPhone X has been a failure for Apple, you'll need to look at something other than Ming-Chi Kuo's report. That's something we've seen with the iPhone 7, for example, when the iPhone 8 was released. "Additionally, to sell iPhone X at a lower price may have a negative impact on shipments of the new 6.1-inch LCD iPhone in 2H18".

Should this prediction be true, Apple will have reportedly sold 62 million iPhone X units, which is notably lower than KGI's former forecast of 80 million.
