Trump Breaks Silence on Roy Moore Allegations

Trump Breaks Silence on Roy Moore Allegations

President Trump is defending Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assaulting them when they were teenagers and Moore was in his 30s. "We'll have to let you know next week", he told reporters.

"We don't need a liberal person in there", said Trump, adding, "Jones: I've looked at his record, it's bad on crime. Jones, I've looked at his record", Trump said.

"He denies it. Look, he denies it", Trump said of Moore, CNN reports. "And by the way, he totally denies it".

Young said he had advised Moore not to lend credence to the questions either and dismissed the allegations - which range from inappropriate behavior to pursuing teenage girls while he was past the age of 30 to sexual assault - as "Jerry Springer stuff".

Corfman said that since the story in the Washington Post there have been "a lot of people that have come out and have said that because of my courage they're able to do the same". "I had to take leave from my job", she said. Luther Strange (R-AL). Bannon endorsed and campaigned for Moore, who ended up thumping Strange.

What Trump was saying is that he believes Moore.

She said she had considered confronting Moore twice before, but did not do it, once because her school-age children were afraid that "they would be castigated in their group". "But I can tell you, you don't need somebody who's soft on crime like (Democratic nominee Doug Jones)".

"By the way, he gives a total denial, and I do have to say 40 years is a long time". "The women are Trump voters". White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders has said the administration's position is that all of Trump's accusers are lying.

The other argument Trump made in his comments about Moore, essentially, is this: Moore is a Republican.

"Doug Jones in Alabama, folks, don't be fooled", Conway said. "He'll be a vote against tax cuts". The special election is slated for December 12.

A recent FiveThirtyEight study found that the "Bannon wing" actually represents a "major part of the modern Republican Party".

"That's why you saw Kellyanne come out yesterday and say we've got to have somebody like Judge Moore", Young said, adding: "You know, Kellyanne does talk for the White House". And I think it's very, very good for women.
