Nintendo's next mobile game, 'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' is out this week

Nintendo's next mobile game, 'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' is out this week

Thankfully, according to Nintendo's official Twitter account, we'll finally be able to get our hands on the game beginning Wednesday, November 22.

Pocket Camp rethinks Nintendo's enduring series about building a quiet, rural life in a small village filled with adorable talking animals. We said it was coming in hot, but apparently, it was coming in even hotter than we initially thought.

Animal Crossing is based on Nintendo's 3DS title Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo and includes some of the same characters. They've worked together on Miitomo, Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes as well. The last main series installment was Animal Crossing: New Leaf in 2012, which received the sizable Welcome amiibo update this time past year. This isn't the first time Nintendo has surprised fans with an early release. And it wouldn't be an Animal Crossing game without the ability to go into deep debt.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp hits iOS and Android devices November 22nd.

Players will be rewarded for logging in daily like in other Animal Crossing games, but there will also be microtransactions. It's a laborious process but doesn't take long if you have a good Internet connection. The materials you collect are used to craft items to decorate your campsite. While you can earn this form of in-game cash you can also purchase it with real money.

Host Animals at Your Campsite: "As you grow your friendships with different animals, they'll want to visit your campsite". If you are expecting the full game, you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for something a lot more casual that lines up with the majority of FTP mobile games, then you are in luck. The game is available now for iOS and Android.
