Gadot's ultimatum for Wonder Woman franchise

Gadot's ultimatum for Wonder Woman franchise

A source told Page Six that Gal is "tough and stands by her principles". She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet.

Gadot has been a vocal proponent of shining a light on sexual harassment in Hollywood at a time when women and men - including a slew of actresses, actors, and behind-the-scenes players - have spoken out about the topic in the wake of a cavalcade of accusations of sexual misconduct against Miramax cofounder Harvey Weinstein.

According to Page Six, Gadot is refusing to sign on for another Wonder Woman solo film unless Ratner and his company are completely cut out of the franchise financially. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly. The major RatPac-Dune deal came on the heels of Legendary-WB's previous co-financing partner-moving over to Universal Pictures, so the studio is no doubt on the hunt for investment partners at the moment. The person said it is unclear whether that will be renewed.

Warner Bros/DC's Wonder Woman 2 is going to be released a month and half earlier than originally announced, with a new date set for November 1, 2019.

He denied the allegation but was forced to later apologize for falsely saying he slept with her.

Just before the LA Times story on Ratner hit, Gadot pulled out of presenting Ratner with the Jewish National Fund's highest humanitarian award. She is, however, all set to reprise the role of Amazonian goddess Diana Prince in DC's upcoming film Justice League. So she did not attend.

The rumours surrounding Ratner have always been brewing, but recent accusations from six women, including actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, as well as Ellen Page's epic Facebook post about the director outing her and humiliating her on set, have brought his misconduct all out into the open.

Well if she wasn't already a hero on the screen, Gal Gadot appears to be using her superpowers for good in real life. "I stand by all the courageous women confronting their fears and speaking out".
