Battle for Azeroth Expansion Announced

Battle for Azeroth Expansion Announced

In typical WoW fashion, Battle for Azeroth is bringing new leveling zones into the mix - with a twist. The new Horde sub races will include the Highmountain Tauren, the Nightborne Elves and the Zandalari Trolls. Here, you will also visit the ancient city of Zuldazar, the deserts of Vol'dun, and the swamps of Nazmir. You definitely need to check it out below! Battle for Azeroth reignites the war between the Alliance and Horde factions as tensions grow beyond tolerance between Warchief Sylvanas and freshly crowned King Anduin.

While this year's BlizzCon has showcased Overwatch's new hero and map alongside the announcement that Starcraft II will be free-to-play, the most exciting news surrounds World of Warcraft's history. As a defender of the Alliance, venture to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore, and rally its inhabitants to fight for your cause.

Allied races are a big part of Battle For Azeroth, with several of the characters within those races now becoming playable, with their own unique abilities. Alliance players can explore three new zones set in the island nation of Kul Tiras, while Horde players will travel to three zones making up the islands of Zandalar. Players will here fight on the battlefield in 20-player co-op matches, capturing resources and claiming objectives against the enemy's commander, in a PvE mode said to be inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.

Seek out Azerite, an invaluable new resource that has emerged in the Legion's wake.

Battle for Azeroth will pick up where Legion left off, increasing the level cap to 120, and creating two new island continent starting areas for players to begin the process.

Instantly Boost to Level 110: Enter the raging conflict between the Horde and the Alliance prepared to survive on the front lines of a vicious new war. Share strategies with members of your class, fraternize with auction house magnates, talk shop with fellow tailors, and expand your social circles. While the current version of the game is still enjoyed by millions of players, there was something magical about those early days that fans have been dying to return to.

Later today, Blizzard will hold a "what's next?" panel for World of Warcraft where more details are expected to be revealed. Finally, fans' requests for a major turn back of the World of Warcraft clock are coming to life in the form of World of Warcraft Classic. This was apparently a large endeavor they only recently figured out how to make it happen.
