Microsoft Ends Original Xbox One Production

Microsoft Ends Original Xbox One Production

So from now on, your only option is the Xbox One S or forthcoming Xbox One X.

Ahead of launch, Microsoft hasn't really given us any figures about the Xbox One X. This means we're heading into the launch this November blind.

Microsoft's Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, had recently confirmed that the line-up of Original Xbox games would be considerably smaller than the Xbox 360 list for Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One consoles.

Last week, Microsoft finally made the Xbox One X available for pre-order and the new console quickly sold out.

Asked whether Microsoft is going to release some of its own as well, Greenberg appeared to be iffy on it. Originally released almost four years ago (November 2013), the original console will be quickly living in the shadow of the Xbox One X when it arrives later this year, and the Xbox One S already surpasses its abilities as is.

But if you couldn't wait, you could purchase the Xbox One S. It has nearly the same features as the original Xbox One.

If you wanted an Xbox, you would have two options. Microsoft discontinued production of the Xbox One just a few months prior, according to Kotaku U.K., so this move has been a long time coming.

Minecraft is also a game which has received an update, called "Better Together" so that it can connect players across all platforms.

The device launched almost four years ago, and reports state the Xbox One struggled to meet the sales of rival Playstation 4.

The Xbox One X, on the other hand, is off to a great start.

I suppose the biggest issue setting back the Xbox One X isn't anything to do with the hardware or price, but mostly to do with the lack of software. It's the best of both worlds, thus we think it should do just fine, and will proudly take the original's place on the throne.
