The Super Nintendo Classic Will Include Different Games in Europe and Japan

The Super Nintendo Classic Will Include Different Games in Europe and Japan

The latest classic edition will have the same appearance of the original console, which was released in 1990.

Star Fox 2 was completed all the way back in 1995, but its release was ultimately cancelled.

If the SNES Classic proves to be as big of a hit as recent Nintendo console launches, it will have another hit on its hands.

Nintendo has committed to manufacturing a greater number of the newly announced SNES Classic Edition consoles than it did the NES Classic Edition, with current announced plans to ship the console only through the end of the year. So here's my not-at-all-guaranteed strategy for throwing $80 at Nintendo in exchange for a Star Fox 2 machine.

It's no secret that Nintendo's first mini console, The Mini NES, did incredibly well for itself.

In fact, it seems as though Cuthbert wasn't even told by Nintendo that the game will feature on the Mini SNES, although it wasn't an issue for the developer. "This game had so much experimentation at the start and that really shows in some of the encounters you'll come across". Cuthbert says, "I hope people don't think they cleared the game with just one playthrough!" The NES Classic had notoriously short controller cables which prevented players from playing comfortably as they had to hunch forward and stay close to the screen.

But, game enthusiasts are already wondering if the video game company can meet demands for the Super NES Classic Edition, which its predecessor was virtually sold out everywhere.

The SNES Classic releases on September 29 and will retail for $79.99.

Good question. Amazon UK has pre-orders, although stock will likely be gone by the time you read this. It comes pre-loaded with 21 games, including Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country and the never-before-released Star Fox 2.
