Shootout at Texas vehicle dealership leaves 3 dead

Shootout at Texas vehicle dealership leaves 3 dead

At about 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots at Nissan of Greenville at 6403 Interstate 30, which is about 45 miles northeast of Dallas.

A private investigator says a shooting at a Texas auto dealership that left three men dead involved two investigators who had confronted a fugitive wanted in Minnesota on several felony charges.

According to a Minnesota bail bond enforcement agency, Hutchinson failed to appear in a Hennepin County court in March, and had a nationwide felony warrant issued for his arrest.

It's not clear what brought Hutchinson to Texas but Peters said he received a phone call Tuesday from Fidel Garcia Jr., a private investigator based in Corpus Christi, Texas, to say Garcia and colleague Gabriel Bernal had tracked Hutchinson to the dealership.

"Hutchinson was in an office at the dealership with another person when he was approached by Bernal and Garcia".

Hutchinson tried to pull a gun from his waistband but dropped it on a desk. Both Garcia and Bernal returned fire.

Three men were found dead inside the showroom. A scuffle followed. He was able to retrieve the weapon and began firing.

Family members of Bernal say he worked for Garcia who was the owner of F.N.G.

About 20 shots were fired in a time span of an estimated six seconds.

Authorities ask that everyone avoid the active crime scene as they continue their investigation.

All three bodies were transported to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
