Sean Hannity Defends Fox News Co-President Bill Shine During Termination Rumors

Sean Hannity Defends Fox News Co-President Bill Shine During Termination Rumors

A spokesman for FNC parent company 21 Century Fox decline to comment on the state of affairs at the outlet, Hannity's allegations and if the Murdochs were asked for a show of support by Shine.

"Hannity also claimed that Shine was was the victim of an internal Fox News plot to undermine his leadership, tweeting, "Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired".

Shine joined Fox News at its inception in 1996 and served as Hannity's producer on Hannity and Colmes before rising through the ranks to become co-president of the network previous year.

Shine was elevated to the position of co-president after Roger Ailes was ousted past year.

Sherman's report notes that Shine's inability to change the culture of sexual harassment at Fox News may be the reason behind his lack of job security. Since Ailes's ouster, the network has been run in part by co-president Bill Shine, a longtime executive who has received support from the Murdochs.

Fox News said in a statement to DailyMail.com on Monday: 'Fox News and its executives flatly deny that they conducted any electronic surveillance of Ms. Tantaros. "If he threatens to leave, and he could", the source says, "Then that really could be the end of the place as we know it".

There are rumors that Fox News co-president Bill Shine's future with the network is rocky, according to New York Magazine. "I think the rank and file believe he will be replaced, but who knows?" this person said. When Roger Ailes gave Hannity and Colmes their own show on Fox News in 1996, he hired Shine as a producer on Hannity's recommendation. A shake-up with Fox News is something that would definitely impact Hannity, of course. "Done. Best Sean", he wrote in the first of five tweets about Sherman's report. Fox News continues to be the most-watched cable news network and is typically among the leaders in all of cable, not just news.

'I pray this is NOT true because if it is, that's the total end of the FNC as we know it.
